GT Mini Shin Pads - 10 x 6cm

The Laws of the Game (Law 4) set no minimum size for shin guards. They must be made of a suitable material, provide reasonable protection and be completely covered by the socks. The player is responsible for that.

The Mini Shin Pads meet those requirements: a hard protective shell, and small enough to stay fully under your sock.

10 cm long and 6 cm wide, and only 20 grams each. A hard PBT plastic shell on the outside, breathable EMA foam on the inside to absorb impact.

The Mini Shin Pads are suitable from age 10. There is one size of 10 x 6 cm, for youth players and adults.

You slide them into your sock, right on your shin. Wearing grip socks with a Pro Sleeve? Then they go under the Pro Sleeve.

A GT GRIP Tape just above your ankle keeps the Minis in place and connects your grip sock to your club sock or Pro Sleeve, so everything stays together. Pick the tape in the same colour as your sock: the Laws of the Game require tape applied on the outside to match the colour of the sock.

They are two different solutions:

• Mini Shin Pads are separate, compact guards of 10 x 6 cm with a hard impact shell. You slide them into your sock. Maximum protection on a small surface.
• Sleeve Shin Pads are built into a sock. They cannot shift and always stay in place. The material is softer and more comfortable, but less hard than the shell of the Mini.

In short: the Mini for hard protection, the Sleeve for comfort and the certainty that nothing moves.

Yes, always. The Laws of the Game require shin guards to be completely covered by the socks. So over your shin guards goes your club sock, or a Pro Sleeve in your club colours.
